SLEVOGT (Max), Dreizehn Federlithographien zu dem Märchen der Gelernte Jäger.

Berlin, Erschienen Bei Bruno Cassirer, 1924, in-folio (39.5 x 29.5 cm - 15.6 x 11.6 inches), 2 ff. (justification), broad-sheets (36.3 x 27.5 cm - 14.3 x 10.8 inches) in hard-bound case parchment spine, attache of the clasp in bone.
One of the hundred numbered copies (n°71) of these 13 lithographies on chine applied on vellum paper. It's the work of German Impressionist Painter and illustrator
Max Slevogt (1868 – 1932) best known for his landscapes. He was, together with Lovis Corinth and Max Liebermann, one of the foremost representatives in Germany of the plein air style. . "Il reste une des grandes figures de l'impressionnisme allemand, parfois surnommé le "Gustave Doré allemand" en raison de son goût pour le travail en noir et blanc" (Osterwalder, Dictionnaire des Illustrateurs). The back side of 4 "passe-partout" are soiled with some traces of brown glue (1 with tear also) but without gravity and don't reach the lithography. Otherwise it's a very fine copy.
