s.l., March 1944, in-8 oblong (21.4 x 29.9 cm - 8.4 x 11.8 inches), blue limp boards, paper label on first side.
Photographic panorama used during the II world war by the British Admiralty. Details of " the Coastal silhouette from HAUT LION (052829) to LA RIVIERE (925863) taken at zero feet and at right angles to the coast: distance off-shore about 1,000 to 1,500 yards". It consist of 28 sections of 315 inches (8 meter length), gathered together, 142 silver prints put end to end. On the first side there is a paper title label with the following notes typed in English :NOTE : "This silhouette is intended as an aid to coastal recognition and is NOT intended for navigational purposes. CAUTION: Due to the overlap of photographs and divergence in scale, the background is repeated in some pages. Where this is very marked white lines have been drawn. A gap has been left to show where Sorties of different scale have been used. I.S.T.D. 51, March 1944. To accompagny Chartlet F.1016B.x"
