[Lyon], s.e., s.d [17e siècle - 17th century], in-4 (24.3 x 17.7 cm - 9.6 x 7.0 inches), 33 ff. - 1272 columns, contemporary blind-panelled pigskin (soiled and little tears on the upper part of 1 joint) on bevelled woodboards, around sides ornamental roll-tooled borders, spine raised on 4 bands, large central armorial stamp blind stamped in centers of each boards, traces of claps and catches, red edges.
Good edition of this compilation of the medieval sources of canon law, among the most influential works ever to be produced in Europe; this is the first edition in which the Institutiones of Lancelotti were added, with permission of the Pope. In center of the boards armorial fleuron with around an inscription AUGUSTINIANUS.S.T.D. ACQUISiVIT : P. REINERUS. BURSCHEIDT and with motto NUBILA PELLIT. First title-page printed in red and black. The lower part of the title with place, address and date of edition is missing. Slightly and uniformly browned.
