A Paris, Chez Claude Micard, au clos Bruneau, à l'enseigne de la Chaire, 1780, In-16 (12.3 x 8 cm - 4.8 x 3.2 inches), 572 pp., contemporary full vellum with flaps (little tear on 1 joint), traces of closing bands, blue edges.
Nice edition that however bibliographers like Ch Brunetor or Th. Graesse don't know. Enriched by a engraved title page with a nice engraved frame and head and tail pieces. Personal copy of the French Protestant scholar and philologist Jacob Duchat 1658 - 1735 (handwritten ex libris' ' Leduchati' ' on the upper part of the title) who after the revocation of the Edict of Nantes took refuge in Berlin. It's there, in 1735, he writes his Apology for Herodotus. Some traces of the passage of a worm in the fore margins without gravity.
