A Paris, Chez Guillaume-François De Bure, 1763, First part only, in-8 (20.5 x 12.8 cm - 8.1 x 5 inches ), xvi - 734 pp., contemporary full brown calf (some wears on 1 spine-end and corners, some rubbings), spine raised on 5 bands, 4 compartments gilt tooled, 2 compartments with gilt lettered brown morocco labels, green silk bookmarker, red edges.
This volume is the first volume of the Belles-Lettres and contains also interesting comments of the author, the antiquarian bookseller Guillaume-François De Bure who had an shop in Paris, Quai des Augustins, during the Ancien-Regime. Ex-libris of L. A. Girard on the first pastedown.
