Behind the river there is a mountain and some small houses on its foot. Along the other bank, an enclosed dwelling with man and woman. Signature of the work not identified. At the back of the framing, there is the trade label of the brothers Kock, well-known art dealers in Den Haag (Holland). This business was founded in 1856 but no longer exist.
