| | A Paris, Chez Charles Antoine-Jombert, 1760, in-folio (21 x 29.9 cm - 8.3 x 11.8 inches), lvi - 447 pp., contemporary full brown calf (some skilful leather restorations on spine), psine raised on 5 bands, 5 compartments gilt tooled, 1 compartment with gilt lettered red morocco label, green silk bookmarker, red edges. Third and most complete of the editions published by Antoine Jombert in Paris. Enriched by a title device, figures and 162 nice engravings on full page (several folding) of which the frontispiece of J.P. Le Bas and engraved by Edm. Bouchardon. "This Cours", said the bibliographer Jacques-Charles Brunet "was during nearly one century the best work of this kind than one had in France". Fore edges of some leaves slighly stained and clear wetting in the bottom of the 37 last leaves without gravity. Otherwise it is a very fine copy of these famous French treatise on architecture.
