Amazing set of 27 very large chromolithographic plates of 48 cm (18.9 inch.) width and 65.8 cm (25.9 inch.) height. The plate numbered 60 is signed in the chomolitography by G Bravi, Roma, 1892. Some tears without loss. "Catechisms in images, series of pictures of the Christian doctrines published under various formats. Some of them, such the Great Catechism in images of the Maison de la Bonne Presse, will know an exceptional diffusion until in the years 1940. Spread largely in Europe and in the foreign countries (Asia, Africa, Canada...), these enterprises of visual propaganda fall in a certain way in the tradition of preaching via image and contribute to model the visions of the faith for generations of faithful".
