| | A Paris, Chez Antoine-Augustin, XIII - 1804, in-8, lxx - 177 pp., contemporary full brown tree calf (some wears and rubbings on spine-ends and corners), spine raised on 5 bands, 5 compartments decorated with gilt fillets and fleurons, round sides framed with double gilt fillets, hatched fillets on the leading edges, yellow edges. A scarce title of famous and untiring scientist Gabriel Peignot (1767-1849), who was one of the most erudite bibliographers of his century. Indeed, this book, as a note informs us was issued only in 300 copies. It is well here that Peignot speaks about 2 books written on human skin and kept in Vienna and Dresden. Ex-libris on fore pastedown by Eug. Courboin. Few foxings. Cfr Brunet t. IV 466.
