The actual bookshop's origin is the one started in the eighties in Redu, a small village in the Ardennes. Dirk Minet established his bookshop and bookbinding studio there, in a beautiful manor house.

In the beginning of the nineties, Dirk and his brother Bernard settled in Brussels in order to create a unique place favourable to their passion for antique books. Bernard leaves after seven years and Dirk now manages alone the Minet-Frères bookshop.

The bookshop opens its first webpage in april 1996, with the URL www.librairie-minet-freres.be.
In june '97 the website is completely updated and change its location to the actual one. 
Today our books are nestling in a splendid mansion of the 19th century.
